As the leader of a Sea Scout™ crew, the Skipper is charged with planning, organizing, and implementing activities designed to help young adults gain nautical skills, learn about water safety, and experience the thrill of the open water. Skippers give supervisory direction to the ship program, while advising and coaching the officers in their command. Under their skillful leadership and through the technical knowledge they communicate, crewmembers acquire new confidence that can be applied to everything they do. This coin salutes the contribution these adults make to Venturing Scouts.

This coin is minted in a proprietary brass alloy, given an antique finish and is selectively imbued with durable high-gloss enamel. The reverse has an area that is ready for engraving. This coin comes packaged in a polybag with a header card.
